God gives us free will

I recently saw a video of a woman giving reasons on why God doesn't exsist. She said, "So surely, if God was real, he would want to do whatever it takes to save me, and yet He hasn't." What she was pretty much saying is that if God has unlimited power and is present everywhere, if he wants people to be saved, wouldn't He already know how to convince me to be saved if He was such a loving God?

Would God truly be a loving God if He forced us to love HIm? It's like a guy forcing a girl to love Him. That would be ridiculous and wrong on so many different levels. That is the exact opposite of love. We would be like robots. God loves us so much that He gives us the free will to choose whether to love Him or not. Accepting God is like receiving a present from a friend. Your friend gives you a gift, you open it and see it, but do you choose to keep it or take it to good will? God reveals Himself to us.

People will try and say that God hasn't revealed Himself to them. Are you reading this, has a Christian video ever popped up on your "for you" page? Have you looked at nature lately? There are two ways God reveals Himself to people. First is general revelation. This is what everyone is born with. Look at nature around you and tell me that there was no maker. Can you really say that the complex galaxy, the incredible life of a human, and sunsets just happened to be? God has revealed Himself through these things, you may not know who created these things just by looking at them, but it's proof of a creator.

Secondly God reveals Himself through personal revelation. This is when many decide to follow Christ. Personal reveltation is when something outside of nature points to Christ. For example, if someone tells you, if you hear about God in a sermon, if you experience a miracle. From the moment you take your first breath on earth, God has shown Himself to you. It's your choice to accept Him or to neglect Him. No one can make that choice expect you.

Aside from giving us free will, God sent HIs son to die for our sins. If we believe in Jesus as our Savior we will be saved. Accepting Christ isn't that hard to do. God made it easy so that even children are able to believe. All you have to do is realize that your a sinner, believe that there is a God, and ask Christ to save you from your sins and trust in Him. Christ layed down His own life for you, will you accept Him?

When God is Silent

I have recently started my senior year of high school. I've always dreamed of this year since I was a little girl, but now all I want to do is make it go away. I feel so unprepared, too young, and not
